Jet Black & Natural Birch String Cajon
Jet Black & Natural Birch String Cajon
Cajon means Drawer or box in Spanish. It originates from Peru where it is used in folk music for styles such as Festejo. Legend has it that African slaves in Peru started playing their grooves on the fishing and packing boxes where they worked when their “owners” banned their African drums.
Bring those Peruvian grooves to your neck of the woods with this jet black string cajon. Its rich, durable shell is built from birch — the same wood used in upscale guitar cabinets. This gives this cajon the musical maturity and projection needed to take your performance to the stage, along with the durability to survive gig and tour demands. The stunning zebra willow frontplate is chosen just as much for its incredible figuring as it is for its tonal properties. It's rounded corners increase comfort on hands and legs.
